First day of disection in anatomy

Our class of about 67 is split into 3 groups. We only have 2 cadavers for the whole class. While group A and B are working on the cadavers, group C gets to study from predisected parts of the body. After about 45 minutes everybody rotates so that group C can work on the cadaver as well. On the first day we covered the superficial and intermediate back muscles. One cadaver is male and the other is female. The disection was started from the back. The male cadaver had very little subcutaneous fat. The female cadaver had a lot of subcutaneous fat & therefore took longer to get to the muscle layer.
